North Carolina women’s team defeat Michigan 4-1

As reported by the NCU webiste, North Carolina women’s tennis team, ranked no.2, beat Michigan in the Quarterfinals of the 2023 ITA Division I National Women’s Team Indoor Championships, at the Seattle Tennis Club. The Tar Heels advance to the quarterfinals on Sunday 12 February, where Carolina will face Texas A&M at the Nordstrom Tennis Center on the University of Washington campus.

Tar Heels won their first doubles match.

The pairing of Reilly Tran and Abbey Forbes brought down Sheinin/Fliegner’s 3-double team for Michigan 6-1. No. 1 Fiona Crawley made things work in singles by claiming second team point by beating No. 36 Jaedan Brown 6-1, 6-4. Wolverines claimed first place of the game, to 3 singles as No.

No. 18 Anika Yarlagadda had a big win as the Tar Heels reclaimed a 3-1 lead over Michigan by beating Bayley Sheinin 6-3, 6-4. The Heels scored the game as No.
