Great news for the Italian number one Jannik Sinner. The Italian won the French tournament in Montpellier, ATP 250 which was held Sunday. The South Tyrolean tennis player finishes without particular problems, in over an hour and a half of play, and beats the American Maxime Cressy in two sets, a tennis player who only yesterday eliminated the number one seed Holger Rune.
The US tennis player experienced several physical problems, highlighted during the match, but he played until the end and fought trying to use his weapons to put his opponent in difficulty. Jannik Sinner gets a really important victory that gives morale in view of the next commitments.
Great match by Jannik who controlled and punched the opponent scoring the decisive points. In the first set both Jannik and Maxime miss the break and the partial is decided in the tiebreak where Jannik immediately takes the lead and closes with a score of 7-3.

In the second set Sinner always goes ahead and has no problems, manages the match and makes the decisive break in the eighth game. Sinner closes in two sets and celebrates the seventh title of his career, the first in this 2023.
The Italian had started the season badly but now he can calm down, gain some positions in the ranking and prepare for next week. Sinner does not stop and in a few days he will take the field in the ATP tournament in Rotterdam where he will make his debut against the Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi.

Sinner said: “First of all I would like to thank everyone for the great atmosphere.
To be honest, the first key was keeping up the service. Then in the tie break I tried to take advantage of some of his mistakes and keep my serve. I repeat, it was perhaps more complicated than winning points over him. However the second set was a little different.
I had some chances at the partial start, but in the end I managed to break towards the end and close. I’m really happy. I thank all the audience for the unique support you have given me during the week. I can’t wait to play here again next year and I really thank everyone.
I would like to congratulate Sinner for what he has done. He only played three matches, but I’m impressed with your level and wish you the best of luck throughout the rest of the season. You were incredible today.”
