The Italian tennis player who had struggled to ring together a series of consecutive results this year achieved his second consecutive victory in Rome. Fognini, after winning his debut against Andy Murray in three sets, comfortably defeated No.
30 seed Miomir Kecmanovic in straight sets 6-3 7-6 in a packed Pietrangeli to incite the Italian. The most beautiful scene of the match valid for the second round against the Serbian took place at the end of the match when Fognini’s son came down the court to go and hug his father.

There were no problems at the debut at this edition of the Internazionali d’Italia for Jannik Sinner.
